Match report for Wilmslow Town U11 Jaguars 0 - 3 home defeat to Unicorn Athletic JFC U11 Warriors (22/01/2012)

WIlmslow Town Jaguars v Unicorn Athletic - 23rd Jan 2012

After a really long break could the Jaguars compete with the team riding high at the top of the table? Well from the off the boys defended well and put pressure on Unicorn's goal. Charlie and Ben combined for a good chance then Ben's solo effort came close. At the other end though a penalty was given but justice may have been done as the shot skimmed off the post to keep the scores level. Unicorn go the breakthrough soon after with a marvelous strike but Ben came close to getting even with a rattling free kick that was just about headed off the line. Unicorn though got a second just before half time and the boys were unlucky to be behind at the break.

The second half opened with a sizzling shot from Steph but again Unicorn came straight back for a third goal. Will made some super saves to keep Unicorn in sight and Taddy, Jack and Zacki all were solid in defence. The James's and Oliver were buzzing around in midfield but could'nt get a break through. Harry tried hard and Rob had to go off due to twisting his neck. The second half fizzled out with no further goals and all the boys can feel proud they they gave Unicorn a really good match and certainly stepped up a few levels from earlier on in the season.

Final score: Wilmslow Town 0 - Unicorn Athletic 3
