13 November 2011 Match report for Wilmslow Town U11 Jaguars 2 - 4 home defeat to FC Sporting Sale U11 (13/11/2011)
Wilmslow Town Jaguars v Sporting Sale - 13th Nov at Jim Everson
The boys made their best start to the season so far and enjoyed much the better play, Robbie came close then Taddy had a chance go just wide from a corner. Will then saved a certain goal by pushing the ball out against the post. James then did some good work around the Sale box and found Oliver who then put the ball in the net for his first of the season - the Jaguars were ahead! The boys then came under pressure from a rampant Sale, Will made two more fantastic saves but the Sale attacks kept coming and eventully they got their equaliser. Zacki and Taddy were really getting stuck in and Harry put himself around the pitch well but it was Sale who managed to find the gaps in defense and went ahead. Will came out well just before half time to stop another through ball and the boys went in for a well earned half time rest.
Half time: Wilmslow Town Jaguars 1 Sporting Sale 2
Sale came out very strongly and despite some good defending from Will, Zaki and Taddy they scored twice more to go 4 -1 up. As last week, the scoreline did not reflect the balance of play but it was the better passing that was the difference between the two sides. Just before the final whistle, Oliver held the ball up and passed to Robbie who directed a great shot past the keeper into the back of the net.
Final score: Wilmslow Town Jaguars 2 Sporting Sale 4
Definately an improved perforamnce from the boys, wecome back JackK from a long term injury and Charlie, who played his very first game for the team.
