30 October 2010 Match report for Wilmslow Town U11 Panthers 2 - 2 home draw with Lymm Rovers JFC U11 (A) (30/10/2010)
A valuable run-out for the U11 Panthers this morning in a friendly against D1 Lymm Rovers. 2-2 the final result; a goal-less first half after which the Panthers took, and then lost, the lead twice in the second.
In the absence of Dan, Calvin and Greg, an opportunity for some movement within the ranks. Harrison enjoyed an opening period in right midfield and in the second half a chance for Josh Mehta (back after a long break following his, erm, break) to also step forward.
The goals came from Nathan and Josh Wheeler - both close range efforts, the latter following a great long-range shot from Matias that came back off the angle of crossbar and post.
Not the best display of the season, but not the worst either. There was lots of effort and some good interplay, as and when the boys managed to maintain their shape. On balance, Wilmslow probably had marginally more of the possession, but Lymm created more clear goal-scoring chances. Both teams appeared satisfied with a draw after 60 minutes.
Back to local league action next weekend with a home fixture against Alderley United.
