25 September 2010 Match report for Wilmslow Town U11 Panthers 2 - 8 away win against Macclesfield Tigers U11 (25/09/2010)
With no league fixture this weekend, the U11 Panthers travelled to the Kings School in Macclesfield for an 11-a-side friendly fixture against Macclesfield Tigers, who play in the Mid Cheshire League.
With fine weather, the Panthers took an early lead and never looked back, running out 8-2 winners. The Tigers proved competitive throughout and missed a couple of chances in the second half that would have given the score line a different look.
Wilmslow played some fantastic football in the first half, passing well and working hard to win the ball and distribute. As the game wore on we saw a few unusual positional changes and some shape was lost.
Overall, an enjoyable morning on all levels and a match played in very good spirit. We wish the Tigers the best of luck for the rest of their season.
No MOTM award this morning, but congratulations to Max for his solo effort and to Nathan for his first-half haul that won him a place at centre back for the second half!
