25 April 2010 Match report for Wilmslow Town U14s 3 - 7 away win against Longhey Athletic JFC U14 (25/04/2010)
Good game today. The team was always in control and we finished with a good result. The first goal came from Logan Stanyer after a good through ball by Joel Norman. The second goal came soon after with Logan scoring again, this time latching onto a pass from Jack Wightman. Longhey got back in it with a goal and the teams went in at half time with Wilmslow leading 2-1. Wilmslow stared the second half strongly and Paddy Storey scored two goals, converting chances made by passes from Logan Stanyer and Robbie Nicol. Longhey again pulled one back, but this time Wilmslow answered back with three goals, one from Jez Sumner, set up by Paddy Storey, and two more from Paddy Storey, both of them set up by Jez Sumner. Longhey pulled another one back but the match was already decided.
Special mentions go to:
PADDY STOREY for clinical finishing
SAM WILLIAMSON for playing fantastically in a variety of positions
JOE GARDENER for working so hard before he was forced off with an injury
But MAN OF THE MATCH had to go to Jez Sumner, for excellent work rate and hard tackles. He also credited two assists and even added a goal. Well played Jez.
