6 September 2009 Match report for Wilmslow Town U14s 3 - 5 away win against Urmston Town JFC U14 (06/09/2009)
Wilmslow start the season well with a 5-3 win in a friendly.
They had a good start with a well taken corner by Stanyer headed in by Pindar. The team then battled through a rough patch to go 2-0 up when Storey scored from a tight angle outside the box. Urmston pulled one back but Wilmslow restored the two goal lead soon after with a goal from debutant Swindells.
They went 4-1 up soon after half time when Sumner followed up an attempt from Perry to score. Urmston then pulled it back to 4-3 and there was a worrying patch for Wilmslow, but a second goal from Swindells sealed the victory.
There were a lot of good performances, most notably from Robbie Nicol, Jeremy Sumner and Joe Swindells, but man of the match goes to Logan Stanyer for playing well in a variety of positions and good decision making.
Great start lads!
