Once again the U11 Cougars showed great team spirit and their willingness to learn and get stuck in against tough competition. Playing some of the top teams in Cheshire and Greater Manchester they performed admirably, showing how much they had learned about how to play 9v9 football, how to cope with offside rules and play tighter as a team.

The players voted Will K their player of the Tournament after some superb goalkeeping displays and a penalty save.

Both Will and Jake kept a clean sheet each, no mean feat in this competition. Connor got a real poacher's goal to secure our only win against Fletcher Moss - the eventual tournament runners-up.

Solid defensive performances with some amazing tackling from Bren, Tom and Max coupled with a series of excellent central defensive displays from Kafele which won him the Managers Player of the Tournament.

The midfield performed well with good performances from Connor, Atakan, Kieran and TJ. With Joe and Jamie showing glimpses of a potent striking force.

Tom won the "Crunchie" moment for a stunningheader to clear the lines in our most challenging game against the Wilmslow Sports Hawks (Jacko's ex Wilmslow Town Panthers team) - deserved Tournament winners!

Connor won the "Last Rolo" for a well-taken bit of goal poaching.  Very pleasing performances all round, showing that Cougar spirit once again - great support from parents, brothers and sisters and grandparents - made this a very enjoyable way to spend Sunday despite some miserable British summer weather.
