U14's win - we're not superstitious

5 April 2009

Match report for Wilmslow Town U14 Panthers 3 - 1 home win against Woodhouse Park JFC U14 (05/04/2009)

We don't really need to go into detail of every move today, just record what a glorious performance this team turned in today. It was a great win, lads, and well deserved.

What we do need to do is work out what combination of factors was responsible so that we can repeat them for the next game. Was it:

* The presence of Luke cheering from the side lines for the second half. (If it was, sorry Luke, but you can't have the plaster off in two weeks time as that might be the clincher)

* Playing on the different pitch

* The sunny afternoon

* The black cat that walked across the path of the match reporter

* Or was it simply that the team played with a determination to forget last week's result, with some memorable build up play and chances converted into goals.

Any other suggestions gratefully received, to be passed to the manager for future matches.

Keep up this momentum lads & we'll see the team climb rapidly up the table. The next three scheduled fixtures are well within your capabilities.
