29 March 2009 Match report for Wilmslow Town U13 Cougars 9 - 1 home win against Longhey Athletic JFC U13 (29/03/2009) Albion kicked off with a great start, resulting in a goal by Logan Stanyer after only couple of minutes of play. Some excellent tackles and passes by Robbie Nicol were followed by another goal by Logan Stanyer, who was now truly on fire and aiming for that hattrick -poor Longhey! Not so poor though because in no time Longhey got past our defense and scored. Albion were not going to be defeated though and Patrick Storey quickly put things right by scoring a fantastic goal assisted by Logan Stanyer. Longhey were clearly baffled and an own goal off a pass from our Harry Perry made it 4-1. Couple of minutes later Joe Pindar scored followed by a great goal by Mike Towers, assisted by Ed Whatson. Jez Sumner never wants to miss out and made it 7-1 helped by a brilliant corner from Logan Stanyer. Albion defended well with Robbie Mecrow making sure nothing got past him! Just before half-time, Logan Stanyer got his so-desired hattrick and Albion were 8-1 up with one half to go. Although they were not quite as fiery as in the first half, Albion managed to get another goal in by Jeremy Sumner, making it 9-1. Yet another excellent result for the U13's who are getting better and better as a team with every game they play.
