Match report for Wilmslow Town U13 Cougars 11 - 2 home win against Altrincham FC Juniors U13 (15/02/2009)

Albion made it three victories on the trot with a great result against Altrincham Juniors. Paddy started the scoring with a well-placed shot into the corner. After that Altrincham put on pressure, but a quick break saw Ed slot a shot past the keeper to make it 2-0. Paddy then scored again to make it three.

Altrincham nicked one back but that didn’t stop Albion. Debutant Michael Towers was brought down in the box and Logan hit a fantastic penalty into the top corner to score his first goal in an Albion shirt. It was 4-1 to Albion at half time.

Albion started the better in the second half and Michael came close with a rasping shot that hit the post. Minutes after though, Mike netted in off the post for his first goal for Albion. He netted again soon after and then Ed got his second. Mike then capped a brilliant debut with a hat trick. He raced through on goal and, though his shot was saved, he pounced on the rebound and scored.

Albion then netted three in quick succession, Joe P managed to get one after a great pass from Logan to set him up and Paddy and Ed got their hat tricks. Altrincham netted towards the end but Albion were already home and dry.

Despite the strikers going rampant, Albion could not have won it without safe defending from Andrew, Charlie and Joel. Man of the match goes to Michael for an excellent debut.
