Following the success of First Team Manager Paul Maguire's dip into the transfer market, Albion Veterans Manager Tim Royle decided to strengthen his squad own with two new signings.

With the LA Galaxy season over, Royle met David Beckham at the local Tesco store and negotiated a loan deal that would see the England star train and play with the veterans until the start of the new MSL season. Relocating for the winter to the Alderley Edge retreat that the family still own, an excited Victoria proudly exclaimed "Manchester United, Real Madrid, England Captain, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and now Wilmslow Albion Vets, David's career doesn't get any better than that."

At time of press, Royle is still liaising with Under 9's, under 10's and under 12's managers on the possiblilities of Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn making their respective squads.

The second acquisition is that of former United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Meeting with Solskjaer at his office in Old Trafford, Royle pointed out that whilst having to fight for his place, Solskjaer would make a handy addition to the Albion Veterans strikeforce.

At time of press, Royle is still trying to negotiate the squad no.20 for Solskjaer but is meeting with resistance from the clubs treasurers who feel that the £8.50 required for the kit number alteration is excessive for a player of his age.

More to follow as Royle scours the has-beens of World football for future signings.
