23 November 2008 Match report for Wilmslow Town U13 Cougars 2 - 3 away win against Sale United JFC U13 (23/11/2008)
Albion had a dodgy start on a very cold, wet and windy Sunday morning, with a free kick from Sale resulting in a goal after about 10 minutes after kick-off. Our boys did not give up though, with a great performance from Joe at centre-back during the first half, while the two Robbie's dominated the mid-field. Some great saves by Albion's goalie Harry kept the score down to 1-0 going into half-time.
Second half saw a change of players and positions with Jack coming on at left back, Joe moving into midfield and the two Robbie's moving back into defence, while Paddy moved forward. And what a move that was - Sale managed to get one more goal through and went 2-0 up after a debatable penalty claimed by Sale following an alleged hand-ball. That was enough to get the Albion fired up and they went on to rake in 3 great goals scored by captain Joe (1) and Patrick (2). Overall, a great effort by the U13's who are getting more and more confident as a team with every game they play, as shown by some great runs from Joel, Luke, Joe and Harry.
